ABOUT

OUR CLINIC

The Practice of Canine Hydrotherapy is best described as swimming in warm water, while in a controlled environment with a qualified instructor.  Using the controlled properties of water, It aides in the healing and conditioning of our beloved family dogs.  Hydrotherapy allows a dog to move without the pain associated with the impact and stress of movement on land, caused by various degenerative diseases.

Aqua Paw Hydrotherapy Centre is built on compassion and integrity, to assist both the canine and their human, to work through disabilities and the aging process while helping to uncover just how special these dogs are and how much they have to offer!

My journey began after Chevy, my 11 year old Australian Shepherd suffered from two ACL injuries.  My vet recommended swimming as a great method of therapy.  Unfortunately there were no hydrotherapy  pools in the area and swimming in open water was not an option.  After much research and many conversations with my family, I decided to open my own facility so that I could not only help with Chevy's recovery but give other dogs the same chance to benefit from hydrotherapy.

I completed a Canine Hydrotherapy Practitioner Training course from Canine Ripples in Ontario in 2020 and graduated as a professional canine hydrotherapist.    My goal is to aid in the healing process  of all dogs with various conditions, with the use of manual techniques, in a safe environment.
